Fourth Graders Leave Dry Land During Memorable Field Trip

Fourth graders are leaving the classroom this week, instead opting to take their learning out to the water. Partnering up with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, who is leading the field trips, students in all four fourth grade classes have the opportunity to explore an integral part of our ecosystem, and a large part of Hampton Roads’ identity.

In addition to taking a boat ride and wading through the water, students are examining live fish that were caught in the Chesapeake Bay, catching and releasing crabs from the Lynnhaven River, and observing zooplankton collected from the waterways.
