Norfolk Academy Robotics Team Competes in State Tournament

The Norfolk Academy Robotics Team reached the playoffs of the State Tournament of the FIRST Tech Challenge but did not advance out of the first round.

52 teams registered for the State Tournament, held at ECPI University in Richmond. Teams are gradually eliminated in early rounds. In the playoff round, the teams form alliances to compete, and Norfolk Academy served as captain of the fourth-place alliance. “That meant we were up against the best teams in our division, so we didn't make it out of the first round,” said Mr. Robert Call, Upper School physics teacher and faculty advisor of the team.

The team won the Rockwell-Collins Innovate award at the Eastern Virginia qualifier.

Congratulations on a great season, N.A. Robotics!
