Lower School
(Grades 1 - 6)

Lower School students have resource classes in visual arts and general music. In addition, students may participate in band and string classes that lead to membership in band and orchestra. For those whose voice is their instrument, we have chorus as well! We have a well-established and popular dance program for grades 1-6, featuring ballet and jazz classes. Performance opportunities abound! Private individual lessons are available during the school day in piano and all ensemble instruments.
Private students may perform in one of eight spring recitals. The Young People’s Theater Program offers additional opportunities to perform onstage through our Enrichment Program.

Middle School
(Grades 7 - 9)

Middle School students have opportunities in the arts, both in performance and experiential learning. Band, chorus, and orchestra rehearse regularly and give winter and spring performances. Advanced instrumentalists may practice and perform chamber music. Students not in performance groups rotate through music appreciation, drama, and visual arts classes, designed to encourage their exploration and appreciation of the fine arts. The dance program changes to an after-school offering with the Dance Team, which presents fall and spring concerts. Actors, actresses, and students interested in all aspects of stagecraft (light, sound, set, and costume design) develop their skills with fall and spring plays, as well as the Winter Musical.

Upper School
(Grades 10 - 12)

Upper School offers band, chorus, and orchestra to student musicians, many of whom have participated in ensembles for many years. The Upper School curriculum offers studio art 1, 2, and 3, for students wishing to explore their creativity in a variety of media; students in the art program can also explore woodworking and sculpture. Art History and film course are offered, as well as sports broadcasting. Actors, actresses, and students interested in all aspects of stagecraft (light, sound, set, and costume design) develop their skills with fall and spring plays, as well as the Winter Musical. The Dance Team practices throughout the year as an after-school offering; dancers in the winter season perform in the Winter Musical.
