Director's Note:

Inspiration is what fuels the spirit to create, to express, to deliver from the soul. A poetic logic emerges and breathes a unique atmosphere for all to enjoy. 

The music genres celebrated in this dance concert are just a few of many. It is a mere glimpse of the contribution made by African American composers. It is our hope that this concert will leave you moving, tapping your feet, dancing, leaping for joy and clapping your hands in a spontaneous exaltation.
