A Favorite Memory
Paws for a Cause is a beneficial opportunity for Middle School students. It gave us an opportunity to spend the day with someone other than our close friends while helping and volunteering to help our community.
Reflections on Learning
My favorite memory was doing the can crush lab in chemistry. It was a fun lab and it also furthered my understanding of gas laws.
Mr. Craig has left me with an appreciation for lab sciences and a better understanding of the world. Not only did he teach me a lot about chemistry, but our classes would also always start with a random discussion that I always got something out of.
The Academy Difference
Norfolk Academy has instilled a great work ethic and the determination to fulfill my potential as a student. NA has also greatly increased my personal skills due to the connections the students have with our teachers.
A Quick Word About Preston
“Preston is a rare student who has learned to live in the here and now, but also to look forward and prepare himself for the tomorrow. I loved teaching Preston in the classroom, but I also really enjoy my interactions with him out of the class. He is a young man who can interact with peers, teachers, and administrators without a feeling of being uncomfortable. We can talk about physical chemistry or analyze last weekend's college football results. Preston will not only make great contributions to the academic life of his college, but also bring enthusiasm and vitality to the school culture.” ~ Mr. John Craig, Preston’s Chemistry teacher
