What I’ll Miss Most about NA: The Teachers

Most Meaningful Activity
I have danced at NA for 12 years. My time in the dance program has provided me with a community of people who I know I can always turn to.

Favorite Classroom Experience
It would have to be my first advisee meeting with Mr. Garvin in the 10th grade. The group instantly felt like family and we were able to be ourselves. We turned on music, chilled, and jammed out.

Inspirational Teacher-Coach
Mr. Runzo. Ever since eighth grade math, and as my softball coach, he has always helped me and made me understand math better than I did before. He pushed me on and off the field to be a better student and athlete.

Making My Mark
I will always be known as the person who was willing to help others and volunteer.

A Word of Advice to her Fellow Bulldogs
Never be afraid to speak up in class or be the first to volunteer. Always take charge.

A Quick Word About Phoebe
“Phoebe is a positive source of support and insight in any learning environment. She is a creative, independent, and passionate thinker. I would dare to say she is exceptional among a group of peers who are in themselves quite an exceptional group. Phoebe, in short, is in pursuit of excellence. Throughout it all, she has maintained a sense of poise, constant grace, and a spirit of creativity. Phoebe’s genuine support for her peers and caring personality shines. Throughout the years, she has consistently demonstrated that while she is deeply passionate and serious about her own pursuits, she maintains a sincere desire to help others achieve their goals. Finally, it must be said that Phoebe’s most endearing quality is the good humor and joyful demeanor with which she approaches every new day and every new challenge. She is one of the rare individuals who will impress everyone she meets with her passion to make a meaningful life.” ~ Mr. Knox Garvin, Phoebe’s Art Teacher

The thing that most makes me a Bulldog is… being a 12-year survivor/thriver.
