“The impact that Norfolk Academy has left on me has been incredible. The best thing about NA is the teacher-student relationship. It’s an awesome feeling when your teachers help you and when you succeed, they want to celebrate with you.”

Most Meaningful Activity
My favorite activity during my Upper School years has been girls varsity basketball. Playing on the team allowed me to create memories and friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime.
A Favorite Memory
My favorite tradition at Norfolk Academy is the Olympiad. It always happens on one of the first days of school after summer break and it’s a great way to transition from summer to school. The fun-filled day is a great way to meet new people and participate in fun activities.
Coach Duffy, my advisor and basketball coach, has had the biggest impact on me because of his positivity and support. Coach Duffy is always available to give a fist-bump when I need encouragement. Grounders.
Making Her Mark
The impact that I have left on Norfolk Academy is being able to look at things with a different perspective. Sometimes, there might be a mindset that there is only one way to complete a task. However, I have been able to share different perspectives with the NA community and be successful in my endeavors.
A Quick Word About Michela
“To me, Michela is the consummate student-athlete. Both academics and athletics are important to her and she excels as a student and as a basketball player. There is no separating one from the other. The qualities she exhibits in her training for basketball are the qualities she exhibits in her training in any of her academic disciplines: tenacity, discipline, thoughtfulness, and quiet leadership.” ~ Ms. Megan Hallberg, Michela’s Math Teacher and Basketball Coach
The thing that most makes me a Bulldog is… my honesty and determination.
