Three Adjectives to Describe the Class of 2021: Resilient, Creative, Ambitious
Most Meaningful Activity
Competing on the varsity soccer team. All of my close friends are on the team and it’s a sport that I’ve been playing my whole life.
Beyond the Classroom
I always love going to Field Day, doing fun things like shopping around the flea market and treating it like our own personal Norfolk Academy thrift store.
Reflections on Learning
Some of my fondest in-classroom memories include doing yoga in Senor Bunn’s class to provide us with fun breaks in the middle of lessons.
Mr. Patterson has deepened my love and interest for film throughout my three years taking his classes. He is the most kind-hearted person and teacher and is so easy to talk to and learn from.
A Quick Word About Jackson
“Jackson is a wonderful student who has a real interest in film production, screenwriting, and photography. He has consistently shown himself to have a keen, creative mind. He chose to take Film Studies III this year, writing an original screenplay and researching several screenwriters and directors. His writing is carefully constructed, and he is always succinct in finding the correct core of a topic. His creative vision, his screenwriting voice, and his knowledge of film are quite broad and rapidly growing. Jackson is a student who is striving to find the best possible version of his work. He accepts guidance, thinks ahead, and accepts the unexpected with ease. If he asks a question during class, it is because he’s thought through the situation and is asking the right question to resolve issues or clarify a concept. Jackson will make a great addition to any college classroom, and will exceed his own goals many times over.” ~ Mr. Ed Patterson, Jackson’s Film Teacher
The thing that most makes me a Bulldog is… being able to call myself a graduate of Norfolk Academy.
