A Favorite Memory
I liked the Homecoming football games. Seeing the school community in the stands and cheering loudly reminded me that Norfolk Academy is a big family even outside school hours.
Reflections on Learning
The science experiments in 10th grade chemistry are all tied for being my best classroom experience. I’ll remember the way we were engaged and had fun while still being taught.
Mr. Bernie McMahon has motivated me to accomplish more. He has encouraged me in school activities and in non-school activities.
Making His Mark
I have set an example for my classmates of how to balance commitments out of school and still maintain good grades that will help me in the future.
A Quick Word About Grayson
“Grayson has always known how to balance his academics with responsibilities outside of school. I saw this during our shift to distance learning. Grayson was quick to find a routine that allowed him to manage his academic work while taking on personal projects. Grayson began helping his neighbors with yard work, which soon developed into a handyman service company that he now leads with one of his peers. He spends time networking with people in the community, making connections to expand his business. Grayson is at his best when he is pursuing his passions - that’s when he exhibits the most drive. I hope that the next four years will allow him to continue to explore his interests and to seize more opportunities outside of his comfort zone.” ~ Ms. Yonne Nasimiyu, Grayson’s Advisor and Advanced Biology Teacher
