“Norfolk Academy has blessed me with the best group of friends I could ever have. I’ve known most of these people for the past 10 years, and at this point, they’re not just friends. They’re family.”

Favorite Refectory Meal: Turkey and Cheese Flatbreads

Most Meaningful Activity
My favorite extracurricular activity has been soccer. It has been an absolute pleasure being able to play alongside my teammates, and I’m going to miss nights under the lights.

Beyond the Classroom
My favorite non-classroom experiences have been the Leadership Labs after ninth and 10th grade. I’ll never forget being out in the woods for a week with Mr. McMahon and everyone else.

Inspirational Teacher-Coach
Mr. Duquette has had the biggest impact on me. Without taking his class, I don’t know if I would have found my passion for problem-solving, which is something we need to change the world.

A Word of Advice to his Fellow Bulldogs
Live in the present. We only have so long until it’s gone, so make the most out of every memory and every moment.

COVID Silver Lining
I finally found my love for the gym. Over the last year my favorite part of my day has been opening up Coach Rahall’s daily email and reading “Alright guys, today’s going to hurt... a lot.”

A Quick Word About Braeden
“Braeden thrives when he feels like he is part of something larger than himself. He is collaborative, partnering with his classmates in his most challenging courses to work through difficult problems. He is selfless and uniquely intelligent, possessing the ability to discern when his peers need help, and knowing how to explain complex ideas to them in ways that resonate. And he is a natural leader, picking others up when self-doubt starts to creep in. Academically, Braeden packs a punch, but more importantly, his character and personality do, too. His peers look up to and admire him, and his teachers love instructing him for his willingness to embrace and push through obstacles, for his genuine love of learning, and for his ability to elevate those around him.” ~ Brad Harlan, Braeden’s College Counselor

The thing that most makes me a Bulldog is… my energy.
