Three Words to Describe the Class of 2021: Positive, Unified, Supportive
Most Meaningful Activities
Swim Team and Peer Counseling. I loved swimming with my team and traveling to states and winter training camps, and peer counseling has taught me a lot about human psychology and how to effectively counsel my peers. Both organizations have a great sense of inclusivity and have a great team spirit!
Reflections on Learning
My senior year Latin American history class has been so much fun! Although the class is small, I get to be with my friends while Señor Bryant and Mr. Gibson constantly make us laugh.
Dr. Rezelman and Mr. McMahon both taught me to not take life too seriously and that nothing is for certain. They both taught me to stay focused and strong, but to have so much fun while doing it.
A Word of Advice to My Fellow Bulldogs
Stay focused but find time to have fun. Play as many sports as you can. Go to ALL the sporting events. Keep track of all your awards. (You'll thank yourself while filling out the Common App.). And take care of your mental health before anything else.
A Quick Word About Ava
“Though the cliché states that actions speak louder than words, Ava is equally convincing with both. She speaks her mind with courage and conviction and isn’t afraid to put her money where her mouth is. She also cares deeply about others and treats everyone with unconditional positive regard. She is on the one hand fiery and feisty and spirited and on the other a natural empath whose emotional IQ is mature beyond her years and whose lighthearted energy endears her to all. ~ Mrs. Wendy Livingston, Ava’s College Counselor
The thing that most makes me a Bulldog is…my open-mindedness.
