“I hope that I will be remembered as kind, compassionate, and driven. Along with this, I hope that I will be remembered as someone who put her all into everything that she was a part of and made people feel good about themselves.”

Three Words to Describe the Class of 2021: Funny, Intelligent, Ambitious
Most Meaningful Activity
My favorite extracurricular activity during my time in the Upper School has been working at the Lower School Aftercare Program. Even on my most tired of days, I loved having the chance to work with my friends and hang out with the kids. They never failed to put a smile on my face.
A Favorite Memory
Some of my favorite non-classroom experiences were attending Norfolk Academy vs. Cape Henry Collegiate basketball games. They’re always packed, with alumni and current students sporting their Bulldog pride. The exciting energy in the room is unparalleled.
Ms. Nasimyu had the biggest impact on me during my time in the Upper School. She has been someone who I have been able to laugh with and talk to whenever I need, as well as a great teacher. It has been comforting having her as one of my Fellows Directors and teachers, because I know that she is always there to support me.
My COVID Silver Lining
Being able to spend more time with my family, but also focusing on self-care. It can be easy to become overwhelmed with responsibilities, but COVID has prompted me to remember to take care of myself as well.
A Quick Word About Anaiya
“Anaiya is a bright and motivated young person, mature beyond her years, whom I am certain will go on to be a ‘mover and shaker’ in whatever profession or civic service she pursues (though I have a feeling it will be pediatrics!). Anaiya will bring enthusiasm, empathy, critical thinking, and a strong commitment and work ethic to her collegiate experience. She always exhibits a positive attitude and approach to learning and improving herself, and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. I know she will go on to achieve great success with whatever educational and professional paths she pursues.” ~ Ms. Price Hall, Anaiya’s Global Health Director
The thing that most makes me a Bulldog is… my compassion.
