Middle School School Counseling

The Middle School counseling program focuses on the transitions of adolescence and development of self advocacy for teens.

Counseling support is provided on an individual and group basis for social, academic, and emotional needs. Guidance in grades 7-9 is delivered to students through advisory, chapel, and H bell programming. These lessons have a focus on social and emotional well-being and address a variety of topics including mindfulness, peer relationships, self- care, honor, and time-management. Additionally, 9th grade students learn about interactions between substance use and the brain, contraception, and sexually transmitted infections during the study of human anatomy in biology classes.

Middle school students have the ability to request working with a peer counselor for academic and social needs.
