Lower School School Counseling

Grades 1-6 participate in school counseling lessons as part of their resource rotation.

School counselors are also available to support students and families by student, parent, or faculty referral.

School counseling lessons are focused on building social-emotional skills, reinforcing sound character, and nurturing the uniqueness of each child. General topics include mindfulness, understanding our feelings and how our brains/bodies respond to stressors, conflict resolution strategies and problem-solving skills, positive friendship skills, fostering a growth mindset, identity development, and making healthy personal choices.
