Norfolk Academy students are eager to know about the culture of your institution and to understand who is happiest and most successful at your school. We encourage you to come prepared to share anecdotal information about what it is like to live and learn in your community. Our students are eager to know more about co and extracurricular opportunities and the degree to which students intentionally engage in all there is to do. Whether it is learning about a storied tradition near and dear to the hearts of your sophomores, understanding why a huge percentage of your graduates have studied abroad, or hearing more about the characteristics of applicants that are most compelling to your application readers, we are certain that when you visit you will find a receptive audience ready to listen and appreciate what you have to share. The search process, after all, is about determining why and how a school will help a young person pursue the meaningful adult life they aspire to create for themselves. Thank you for crafting your presentation in a way that helps them to full explore life at your campus.

Schedule a Visit

We are thrilled that you are considering a visit to Norfolk Academy's campus and invite you to review available dates and times using our SCOIR calendar. In the event that an alternative visit time is necessary to accommodate your travel schedule we will do our very best to meet your needs.

We are also pleased to host regional recruitment events on our campus and can accommodate small to exceptionally large groups. Past regional meetings have been held for Cal Tech, Pomona, Yale, M.I.T., Chicago. Johns Hopkins, Princeton, Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell, Vanderbilt, Washington & Lee, and Wellesley. Norfolk Academy is located in close proximity to route 64, boasts ample parking, and offers easy access to a variety of hotels. There is no charge for hosting regional admission events.

Finding Us on Campus

Make your way through the Security gate area and follow the campus drive, keeping to the right as it divides. There are Visitors' Parking spaces available at the front of the main parking lot. After parking, walk through the archway, past the fountain and the "pit." Enter the Massey Leadership Center in front of you and see the receptionist. The receptionist will notify us of your arrival.

Please do not try to go directly to our offices or the room where you met with students last year. Our visit schedule changes frequently as do the meeting locations for those visits. A member of the College Counseling Team will escort you to the correct campus space.

Nearby Schools

Most local high schools are within twenty minutes of Norfolk Academy. They include Cape Henry Collegiate, Maury High School, Granby High School, Cox High School, First Colonial High School, Catholic, Kellam High School, Norfolk Christian, Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School, Atlantic Shores Christian Schools, and Norfolk Collegiate. Ocean Lakes High School, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, and Hampton Roads Academy are a little farther away.
