|Full STEAM Ahead!|
This year the Lower School is going full blast with STEAM which stands for Science * Technology * Engineering * Arts * Math. Research has shown that kids who experience STEAM early through hands-on learning are best equipped to develop a strong understanding of STEAM concepts as they get older. This enrichment program will pique their curiosity and stimulate their interest in these fields of the future. During the six sessions, your child will experience hands-on activities which will encourage innovative and creative thinking. Some of the topics we will cover include “Rocket Science” (we will design and launch our own rockets), “Cooking Chemistry” (we’ll explore the chemistry involved in preparing some of our favorite foods), and “Natural Art” (we’ll use the artistry found in nature to create our own original works of art). Critical thinking, asking good questions, making observation and explorations will be at the heart of this enrichment program. Get on board because we are "Full STEAM Ahead!" Due to the hands-on nature of this program, class size will be limited to 16 students, so sign up early.
